A especie vive em teias geometricas construidas geralmente entre folhas e galhos. Também e conhecida pelo nome de aranha-dos-jardins. A femea eh muito maior do que o macho. = Goncalves, MG, Brazil. Argiope argentata is a species of spider in the family Araneidae (orb-weavers), found from the United States south to Chile and Argentina. It is a member of the Argiope genus and is also known as the silver argiope.
