Cartagena das Indias, Colombia. Fundada em 1533 a cidade foi fortemente fortificada devido aos piratas, corsarios e exercitos. A antiga cidade amuralhada, tombada como Patrimonio da Humanidade pela Unesco. Las Bovedas sao uma estrutura na Cidade Velha, colada as muralhas, localizados entre os fortes de Santa Clara e Santa Catalina. Hoje sao uma atracao turistica popular onde funciona um grande mercado de artesanato. / Cartagena de Indias (Cartagena of the Indies or Cartagena of the West Indies, in English), is a city on the northern coast of Colombia in the Caribbean Coast Region and capital of Bolívar Department. Cartagena's colonial walled city, founded on 1593, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Las Bovedas (The Vaults) are a structure in the Old City, attached to the walls. They were built as dungeons. They are located between the forts of Santa Clara and Santa Catalina. Today, Las Bovedas is a popular tourist attraction because of its traditional Colombian merchandise and vast array of souvenirs.
