Vegetacao de caatinga em Olho D'Agua do Casado, em Alagoas. A caatinga eh o unico bioma exclusivamente brasileiro. A vegetacao da caatinga eh adaptada as condicoes de aridez (xerofila). Atualmente ha registradas cerca de 1000 especies, estimando-se que haja um total de 2000 a 3000 plantas. / Caatinga is a type of vegetation, and an ecoregion characterized by this vegetation in the northeastern part of Brazil.
