O anu-branco (Guira guira Gmel.), tambem chamado rabo-de-palha, alma-de-gato (a Piaya cayana tambem eh chamada de alma-de-gato), anu-do-campo, anum-do-campo, pelincho, guira-acangatara, pilo, pirigua, piririta, quiriquiri e quiriru, eh uma especie de ave da familia Cuculidae (subfamilia Crotophaginae). Eh uma das aves mais comuns do Brasil. = Goncalves, MG, Brazil. The guira cuckoo (Guira guira) is a social, non-parasitic cuckoo found widely in open and semi-open habitats of eastern and southern Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, and north-eastern Argentina. It is monotypic within the genus Guira, and is related to the anis.
