A Ilha Fiscal localiza-se no interior da baia de Guanabara, fronteira ao centro historico da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, no Brasil. Seu atual nome provem do fato de ali ter funcionado o posto da Guarda Fiscal, que atendia o porto da entao capital do Imperio, no seculo XIX. Atualmente abriga um museu historico-cultural, mantido pela Marinha do Brasil. Ponte Rio Niteroi ao fundo. / Ilha Fiscal is an island located within Guanabara Bay, bordering the historic city center of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Its current name comes from the fact there have worked since the Guarda Fiscal, serving the port of the then capital of the Empire in the nineteenth century. It now houses a museum of cultural history that is maintained by the Navy of Brazil. The President Costa e Silva Bridge, commonly known as the Rio-Niteroi Bridge at the background.
