Inside its mouth live virulent bacteria.These bacteria cause septicemia in their victim./O dragao de komodo ou crocodilo da terra (Varanus komodoensis), especie de lagarto que vive na ilhas de Komodo, Rinca, Gili Motang, Gili Dasami, Padar e Flores, na Indonesia. Pertence a familia de lagartos monitores Varanidae, e eh a maior especie de lagarto conhecida, chegando a atingir 2 a 3 metros de comprimento e 70 kg de peso. No interior de sua mandibula habitam bacterias letais, sendo que os animais que conseguem escapar de suas garras acabam morrendo por infeccoes.
