Reformado em 2004, o mercado ganhou quiosques de bares e restaurantes, firmando-se como importante atracao turistica da cidade. O Hocca Bar oferece o mais famoso petisco do mercado, o pastel de bacalhau / The Municipal Market of Sao Paulo, called Mercadao, in Downtown Sao Paulo, is an impressive building in the neoclassical style, measuring over 22 thousand square meters in area, tastefully outfitted and boasting a collection of beautiful stained glass windows. The market is also famous for pastéis de bacalhau, fried pastry pockets stuffed with salt cod. One of the best can be found at Hocca Bar
